Born2ski.com was first conceived 15 years ago as Ski Hotline. Since the mid 80s we have developed a unique independent reporting network that now provides snow and weather information from over 300 resorts world-wide 24x7x365.
Born2Ski forms part of the Born2Escape niche of action and adventure sports information channels, designed to deliver up to date, objective and independent information using the full spectrum of modern methods - Web, SMS, WAP, POTs (plain ordinary telephones), FAX, Teletext and TV.

The first of three planned channels for 2001, Born2Ski will soon be joined by Born2Climb and Born2Sail. The mission of these channels is to deliver high grade information that will maximise enjoyment of these action sports. For Born2Ski the core information is independently collated mountain conditions and weather reports.
Our sources include a network of trusted, longstanding independent reporters who are based in the resorts. We commission them and pay for their independence, experience and objectivity and we try to avoid using reporters who have any commercial ties with specific resorts. We also receive daily reports from tourist offices and lift companies all over the world, and over the years have become highly regarded by them. We also keep a weather eye on the best of the vast number of resort websites. Our weather forecasts are bespoke, all independently commissioned by us only for Born2ski and our direct clients.
